
Professor Eddie Solis
Professor Eddie Solis began his martial arts journey in 1973, training in KAJUKENBO—the original mixed martial arts. He earned his Black Belt in 1976 and opened his first studio in San Pablo, CA in 1982. A decorated competitor, he was named California Middleweight Competitor of the Year in 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1988, and was ranked 3rd in the Western Region of the U.S. for fighting. He holds a 9th-degree Black Belt and continues to train in Jiujitsu, Filipino Martial Arts, and Muay Thai Kickboxing.As the founding instructor of Solis Martial Arts, Professor Solis has spent over four decades shaping a legacy of excellence that continues to serve and uplift the community. He remains a guiding influence within the school and a trusted mentor to many, including Cheif of Operations/ Instructor Carla de Alba, whom he has guided for years. Passionate about empowering others, he is dedicated to helping students grow into confident leaders and positive role models in our society.
